While purchasing land you will encounter the Land Control Board. Do not that each county has its own Land Control Board that normally meet on a monthly basis. It is usually chaired by the county commissioner or their deputies.
The purpose of the LCB, including proceeding over activities of the land which may include subdivisions of the land, transfer of the land or even preside over disputes of the land. The LCB is governed under the Land Control Law.
This Law provides for the establishment of the Land control area, the Land control board, the Provincial land control appeals board and the Central land control appeals board.
