Land Search vs Green Card Search

While purchasing land especially from Risiih Investments, we encourage people to do their due diligence to confirm who the land actually belongs to. With that said there are two types of searches that one can do: –

1. A land search which reveal the current registered owner of a property and the current encumbrance against the title deed, like bank loans, court judgements or cautions by any interested parties.
2. A Green Card search which is a document that holds all the original records of all transactions relating to a piece of land. It is what is used at the lands office to produce the title deed.

In all cases a title deed has to have the same information as the Green card.
